I’m..arpenter.y vocation, but my hobby is painting. “All men take not this word, but they to whom it is given. . . . Their hidden prayer and sacrifice is of major importance for the overall good of the Church. 2. They are called to live as Christ lived; to model their lives on the life of Jesus chaste, poor and obedient – making their hearts more free for prayer and service. In recent times there has been a revival of this vocation, by which a woman makes her private consecration in the presence of her bishop. In this Christian academic community, faith and action are considered together. Each vocation, if it is lived generously and faithfully, will then involve times of lasting happiness and reward but also suffering and sacrifice. In the broader sense, Christian vocation includes the use of one’s gifts in their profession, family life, church and civic commitments for the sake of the greater common good.
